Me and curry never get along well. 8 years of marriage, and I still fail to cook this favourite dish of OH.
Since the other day, my attempt to cook my 'most of the time' disastarous asam pedas went succesful, I decided to give this another try.
Again this time, I turned to Kak Hanieliza's recipe.
Ingredients
A
5 biji bawang merah (blend)
2 ulas bawang putih (blend)
1 inch halia (sliced)
1 tbsp halba campur
3 tangkai daun kari
B
1 small packet of serbuk kari ikan (I used adabi)+ 1/2 cup of water
1 keping kepala ikan tenggiri
4 bendi
3 biji cili hijau
2 biji tomato
2 tbsp asam jawa + 1/2 cup of water
2 cups of santan
minyak
Method
1. Tumis Bahan A sehingga wangi.
2. Masukkan rempah kari & masak sehingga pecah minyak & garing
3. Masukkan air asam jawa. Biarkan mendidih
4. Masukkan santan. Biarkan mendidih.
5. Masukkan ikan, bendi & cili hijau.
6. Kecilkan api & masak sehingga pecah minyak.
7. Apabila mendidih, masukkan tomato & sehingga pecah minyak sekali lagi.
8. Makan panas-panas dengan nasi putih/roti canai. Best.
Verdict : Hari ini dalam sejarah. Kari saya ada rupa kari dan rasa macam kari. :P
